Johns Hopkins University Seeks Sampling Volunteers
Researchers at the Johns Hopkins University's Bloomberg School of
Public
Health (JHSPH) are seeking volunteers to provide samples from water
resources (rivers, groundwater) and from municipal wastewater treatment
plants (influent, effluent and sludge) for a nationwide study of the fate of
disinfectants and personal care products in the environment. This study is
funded by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health
Tracking Program. JHSPH will provide sample containers and detailed
instructions. Participants will receive data on the concentrations of
selected household chemicals in the samples they provide. For more
information, please contact Jochen Heidler at jheidler@jhsph.edu or click
here to view additional background on this project. The study is seeking to
obtain at least two volunteers from each state. Please click here to view
