Previous Position: Research Fellow with Dr. Michael J. Lenardo, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health 

Research interest: We are generally interested in signal transduction and gene regulation in the context of the immune response and cancer biology.

Currently, our research specifically focuses on the mechanism that determines the regulatory specificity of NF-kB, a prominent transcription factor. Using biochemical, molecular, immunological, genetic, and cellular approaches in combination, we are identifying and characterizing proteins that bind to NF-kB and modulate its activity in a pathway- and gene-specific fashion in colonic pathogen infection, inflammation, and carcinogenesis.
