The degree programs in the Department of International Health prepare graduates to respond to the needs of international agencies and national governments for teaching and research in global health. International health emphasizes master's and doctoral training programs for students with international and cross-cultural interests, with a focus on traditionally disadvantaged and/or underrepresented communities worldwide. Degrees offered by the Department of International Health are the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), and the Master of Health Science (MHS). All degree programs are offered on a full-time enrollment basis only. The priority application deadline for all programs is January 2. Candidates for all degree programs, except the DrPH, should apply for admission directly to one of the department's four academic program areas.
