Program in Human Nutrition
Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure Track):  Nutritional Assessment, Dietary Intake and/or Physical Activity Methodology

The Program in Human Nutrition in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is establishing a tenure-track faculty position to conduct research and teach in areas of nutrition assessment, especially in dietary intake and/or energy expenditure/physical activity assessment methodology, analysis and interpretation. The ideal candidate would combine solid expertise and interest in the development and validation of assessment methods for application in diverse populations and cultural settings, and in the use of this information for the development and evaluation of interventions.

The faculty member would develop his/her independent program in this area, while also collaborating with other researchers in the Program, Center for Human Nutrition, and elsewhere in the School to address public health problems related to dietary intake, dietary-related behaviors and/or physical activity patterns.  A broad perspective regarding diet and/or physical activity and interest/experience in cross-cultural and international research is highly desirable. Depending on seniority, an established record of independent funding may also be expected.

Johns Hopkins University actively encourages interest from women and minorities and is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
