The following centers and institutes are affiliated with the Department of International Health:

The Center for American Indian Health works in partnership with tribes to research, design and implement strategies to raise the health and self-sufficiency of American Indians to the highest possible level. Overview

The Center for Human Nutrition, based at the School in collaboration with the School of Medicine and the Johns Hopkins Hospital, is a multidisciplinary effort to advance research, training and public service in the field of human nutrition. Overview

The Center for Immunization Research serves as a major resource for immunization research at the Johns Hopkins University, with faculty from the Departments of International Health, Epidemiology, and Molecular Microbiology and Immunology in the School of Public Health and Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine in the School of Medicine. The Center for Refugee and Disaster Response, a joint academic program between the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Department of International Health, collaborates with governmental, nongovernmental, and international organizations, as well as other research institutions, to meet the needs of those in less developed settings, including refugees, displaced persons, and disaster victims, through applied research, publications, training, and technical assistance. The Center for Tuberculosis Research, staffed by faculty from six departments in the Schools of Public Health and Medicine, strives to contribute to global tuberculosis control through a range of research initiatives in epidemiology, clinical trials, drug development, diagnostics, vaccine development, pathogenesis and basic biology. The Global Research Activity (GRA) is a consortium of organizations that collectively has substantial health and nutrition research leadership and technical expertise, and contributes to the evidence base for programs and policies worldwide in the areas of nutrition, maternal and child health, and the reduction of infectious diseases.

The Institute for International Programs is an administrative entity serving faculty and students as a professional practice and research unit for international public health programs.

The Institute for Vaccine Safety works to provide an independent assessment of vaccines and vaccine safety to help guide decision makers and educate physicians, the public and the media about key issues surrounding the safety of vaccines. Overview  

The International Center for Advancing Neonatal Health, established in 2005 to foster the development of innovative approaches to neonatal health that are integrated with programs and health systems in developing countries. Overview

The Sight and Life Research Institute
focuses on public health research to control vitamin A and other key micronutrient deficiencies.
