Describes the epidemiology and prevention of diabetes, obesity, and associated complications. Discusses methodological issues associated with evaluating these in epidemiologic studies. Designed to cover the global epidemics of diabetes and obesity, environmental and genetic risk factors, as well as interventions to improve diabetes outcomes and weight management. Includes lectures from several expert faculty members in the School of Public Health and the School of Medicine to discuss landmark studies.
