I am most interested in the use of the law (i.e., legislation, regulation, litigation) to protect and promote the public's health.  Specifically, I conduct research about public health law and policy, with an emphasis on emergency preparedness and the regulation of the food and tobacco industries.  Additional interests include the intersection of politics and public health, public health practice, and community/academic public health partnerships.
