My research interests focus on the intersections between nutrition and early child development. My research has included examining the relations between: 1) maternal mental health and maternal and child nutritional status, 2) responsive feeding and child growth, and 3) maternal and child micronutrient status and child development. I am also interested in the development, efficacy, and scaling up of integrated interventions designed to improve children’s nutritional status and development My goal is that this research will provide insights into the interdisciplinary mechanisms that influence children’s health and development, and ultimately their productivity and human capital. This information can be used to develop programs and policies that support maternal and child well-being across the lifespan.
