Provides a broad outline of the historical context and development of public health. Assesses the various challenging hazards to health throughout history.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

  1. Examine public health through its historical context.
  2. Evaluate current public health issues through historical context.
Methods of Assessment:

Participation 20%. Final exam 80%.
