Description:

Presents health survey design; sampling methodologies; questionnaire construction and administration; interviewing; coding procedures;. Intended for advanced students.

Learning Objective(s):
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
Develop, test, revise, and administer a questionnaire
Apply appropriate multi-stage sampling methods for community-based surveys
Document study procedures specific to survey development and implementation
Discuss ethical issues of survey research

Methods of Assessment: Student evaluation based on participation in all aspects of a field research project designated by the instructor, exercises, and a report.
