Presents health survey design; sampling methodologies; questionnaire construction and administration; interviewing; coding procedures;. Intended for advanced students.
1. To introduce students to the formative phases of health survey research. 2. To provide students with the experience of developing, testing, revising, and administering a questionnaire. 3. To introduce students to multi-stage sampling methods appropriate for community-based surveys. 4. To provide students with the experience of documenting study procedures specific to survey development and implementation. 5. To consider ethical issues of survey research.
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
