Description:

Develops skills in critical reading of epidemiological reports. Uses a case-study, problem-based learning approach. In advance of the course, students read and critique several articles. Uses a blend of lectures and discussions.

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to • Read and interpret reports of epidemiological studies. • Identify sources of bias in epidemiological findings and determine how they have been addressed. • Develop reports of epidemiological studies in public health practice.
