Description:

Assists HPM doctoral students integrate their first year curriculum and prepare them for the HPM qualifying exam.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify a public health problem and develop testable hypotheses
  2. Demonstrate how to critique articles focused on policy interventions
  3. Identify and comprehend the components of the HPM qualifying exam
Methods of Assessment:

Student evaluation based on preparation of an outline of a qualifying exam question.

HPM 1st year PhD students only
