222.860.01 GRADUATE NUTRITION SEMINAR
Exposes students to the breadth of interests represented by the Nutrition faculty at the School and from other universities and related organizations such as the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) through active listening and discussion of the presentations. Specific topics vary over time. Emphasizes the ability to critically evaluate the related research design, approaches and findings, and presentation skills.
1) Students will be exposed to the breadth of interests represented by the Nutrition faculty at the School through active listening and discussion of each faculty member's research agendum; 2) Students will be exposed to other research areas, especially, those topics of broader interest to the human nutrition research community and the general public, by attending presentations provided by other invited speakers; 3) Students will learn the features of an engaging presentation of a nutrition topic, and learn how to research and develop their own presentation.
