Description
Describes the basics of airborne particles. Explores properties of gases, particle motion, size statistics, Brownian motion and diffusion, particle deposition and clearance in the human respiratory system, filtration, aerosol samplers, and sampling.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Calculate properties of gases, particle motion, size statistics, Brownian motion, and diffusion
  2. Analyze particle deposition and clearance in humans
  3. Assess particle filtration, aerosol samplers, and sampling
