Description
Students experience a bioinformatics project in an active research laboratory. They gain practical bioinformatics experience in a research environment. Students interact with active researchers to complete a project that demonstrates their core bioinformatics competencies and skills.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Perform an analysis or develop a bioinformatics tool that aids in the analysis of biological or biomedical data
  2. Write a written report documenting the results of the analysis or describing the tool
  3. Publish the results of the project in the form of a web site describing the work or as a web interface for the tool
