From I-70 West: Take Exit 32-B onto US 40 West (Dual Highway). Travel approximately 4 miles on US 40 West; turn right onto Eastern Boulevard. Eastern Boulevard becomes Northern Avenue. Continue approximately 3 to 4 miles. Northern Avenue ends at Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn left onto Pennsylvania Avenue (US 11 South). The Washington County Health Department is the third facility on the left, past Fountaindale Elementary School and Western Maryland Hospital.

From I-70 East: Exit onto I-81 North. Follow directions below from I-81.

From I-81: Take Exit 7 onto MD-58, Salem Avenue. Continue east on Salem Avenue; turn left onto Burhans Boulevard. Burhans Boulevard forks into and becomes Pennsylvania Avenue. The Washington County Health Department building is on the right, immediately past North Hagerstown High School.

From I-70 West: Take Exit 32-B onto US 40 West (Dual Highway). Travel west for about 3.5 miles. Some landmarks into town are a McDonalds and a CVS Pharmacy on the left. Proceed to the left lane. Turn left onto N. Potomac Street south. Immediately get into the right lane. There is a parking deck on the right. From the parking deck entrance, turn right and walk to the intersection of Potomac and Washington Streets (the town square). Cross Washington Street and proceed to 5 Public Square. Use the inner corner entrance of the Professional Arts Building (a six-story light tan brick building). Take the elevator or steps to the basement. The glass door is the entrance into the lobby area of the research center.

From I-70 East: Exit onto I-81 North. Follow directions below from I-81.

From I-81: At exit 6A, take ramp right for US-40 / National Pike East toward Hagerstown 2.0 mi. Turn right onto SR-65 / N. Potomac Street. Proceed to parking deck entrance on right. From the parking deck entrance, turn right and walk to the intersection of Potomac and Washington Streets (the town square). Cross Washington Street and proceed to 5 Public Square. Use the inner corner entrance of the Professional Arts Building (a six-story light tan brick building). Take the elevator or steps to the basement.
