The Department of Marketing and Communications, housed within the Office of External Affairs, provides strategic planning and integrated marketing services for specific communications initiatives by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. We provide editorial, photographic and graphic design services for both Web and print projects for the Bloomberg School, including the Office of the Dean, External Affairs, Student Affairs, departments, centers and institutes and other divisions. Our goal is to protect, maintain and enhance the reputation of the Bloomberg School through the development of consistent messages and cohesive design concepts for both print and Web. As the official voice of the Bloomberg School, the Office of Communications helps articulate its mission of life-saving research and education in ways that are clear, consistent and compelling. Additionally we serve as the official liaison with the press by writing and disseminating press releases and Web articles and by managing interview requests from newspaper, television and radio reporters, photographers and filmmakers. Our staff's seasoned communications professionals include writers, editors, Web and print designers and media specialists. We work closely with our clients to provide communications programs that adhere to the School's branding standards and engage, inform and influence target audiences. Our extensive experience in higher education marketing, media and recruitment means that projects begin with a thorough analysis and review of client objectives, target audience needs, best practices and research of the competitive environment. As a result, our Web and print projects consistently win awards for their strategy, design, content and effectiveness. |
