American Public Health Association
The American Public Health Association has adopted a new position paper, “Toward a Healthy, Sustainable Food System,” addressing many of the issues faced by CLF’s Farming for the Future, Eating for the Future, and Living for the Future programs. The paper includes APHA statements on the proliferation of factory farms; development of antibiotic resistance; contamination of the food, air, soil and water by chemicals; food security and nutrition; global climate change; and energy and water use, among others.
