PUBLIC POLICY American Public Health Association The American Public Health Association has adopted a new position paper, “Toward a Healthy, Sustainable Food System,” addressing many of the issues of concern to CLF’s Farming for the Future, Eating for the Future, and Living for the Future programs. The paper includes APHA statements on antibiotic resistance; factory farms; contamination of the food, air, soil and water by chemicals; food security and nutrition; global climate change; and energy and water use, among others.
