Eat Well Guide
A free, national online directory for locating producers, grocery stores, restaurants, and mail-order outlets that offer sustainable meat, including organic. The site is organized by methods of production (antibiotic free, hormone free etc.), third party certification (such as organic) and source.

Sustainable Table Campaign
Introduces the idea of sustainability and links food purchasing choices to health, protecting the environment, rural communities and animal welfare.

A coalition of health, consumer, agricultural, environmental, humane and other advocacy groups with more than nine million members dedicated to eliminating a major cause of antibiotic resistance.

Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics
Founded as a non-profit global organization in 1981, APUA’s mission is to strengthen society’s defenses against infectious disease by promoting appropriate antimicrobial access and use and controlling antimicrobial resistance on a worldwide basis.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
FAO leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy. FAO is also a source of knowledge and information.

A resource located at the National Agricultural Library. 

The Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems
A research, education, and public service program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, dedicated to increasing ecological sustainability and social justice in the food and agriculture system.

Healthy Farmer, Healthy Profits
Provides information regarding labor-saving and efficient tools for small farmers.

Kerr Center for Sustainable Agriculture
Works in support of developing sustainable food and farming systems, located in Poteau, Oklahoma.

Land Stewardship Project
Fosters an ethic of stewardship for farmland, to promote sustainable agriculture and to develop sustainable communities; located in Minnesota.

The Land Institute 
Focuses on developing an agricultural system with the ecological stability of the prairie and a grain yield comparable to that from annual crops. located in Salina, Kansas. 

The Leopold Center
A research and education center with statewide programs to develop sustainable agricultural practices that are both profitable and conserve natural resources. 

National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture
A grassroots alliance that promotes federal agricultural policies that support sound environmental stewardship.

Organic Farming Research Foundation
Supports research regarding the adoption of organic farming practices; located in Santa Cruz, California. 

Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture
Promotes profitable farms which produce healthy food for all people while respecting the natural environment.

Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE)
A USDA initiative that provides grants for sustainable agriculture research and education.

Sustainable Agriculture Network
Represents the communications and outreach arm of the SARE program (USDA).

National Center for Appropriate Technology
Implements projects that promote self-reliance through wise use of appropriate technology.

Winrock International/Wallace Center
Conducts research, training, policy analysis and institutional development to improve agricultural productivity, sustainability and income in developing countries.

PUBLIC POLICY

American Public Health Association
The American Public Health Association has adopted a new position paper, “Toward a Healthy, Sustainable Food System,” addressing many of the issues of concern to CLF’s Farming for the Future, Eating for the Future, and Living for the Future programs. The paper includes APHA statements on antibiotic resistance; factory farms; contamination of the food, air, soil and water by chemicals; food security and nutrition; global climate change; and energy and water use, among others.

Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy
Promotes resilient family farms, rural communities and ecosystems through research and education, science and technology and advocacy; located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
