Volunteering at the Farm Community Supported Agriculture members from Johns Hopkins recently volunteered their farming skills at Real Food Farm, located in Baltimore’s Clifton Park neighborhood. Right, Civic Works and Baltimore school students join JHSPH Dean Michael Klag and other CSA members at the day of farming. Real Food Farm aims to provide schoolchildren and local communities with fresh, organic produce as well as educational opportunities and career training. Regular volunteer days at Real Food Farm’s three hoophouses are coordinated by director Tyler Brown. This was the third consecutive volunteer weekend for JHSPH CSA members, sponsored by CLF in response to member requests to get their “hands in the soil.” |
