CLF Research Featured on EarthSky Podcast

EarthSky Communications, a science podcast, interviewed CLF Research Director Roni Neff on her recent research on the news media’s coverage of climate change and the food system. Dr. Neff’s study, “Yesterday’s dinner, tomorrow’s weather, today’s news? US newspaper coverage of food system contributions to climate change,” was also recently presented to attendees at the American Public Health Association’s annual meeting.

Dr. Neff’s study found that only 2.4% of climate change articles in 16 leading newspapers over a 29 month period even mentioned food/agriculture contributions to climate change, and only a half a percent were coded as being substantially focused on the topic.

EarthSky, a digital media company advocating science as a vital voice in 21st century decision-making, is available on the Internet and via thousands of global broadcast outlets and is seen or heard by13 million times daily via a variety of media platforms.
