Julie Rusyniak, MS, BCBA
Research Coordinator

Ms. Rusyniak has obtained certification as a Behavior Analyst.  She received her master of science degree in rehabilitation counseling from San Francisco State University, where she focused on the field of supported employment and developmental disabilities.  She received her bachelor of arts degree in art therapy from Seton Hill College.  Ms. Rusyniak has worked with children and adults with autism spectrum disorders since 1992.  Her work has entailed creating community-based individualized residential programs, developing in-home and school-based early intervention programs, conducting parent/professional trainings, and providing consultations to school districts and other agencies. 

Ms. Rusyniak joined the Center for Autism and Related Disorders at Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI) in May, 2004.  As a Research Coordinator, she has overseen studies looking at early detection markers for autism as well as the developmental of relational awareness in autism.  Ms. Rusyniak also works on collaborative studies between KKI and JHSPH which entail her conducting clinician reviews for the ADDM surveillance study, and coordinating the parent/child evaluations, dysmorphology examinations, and biosamples for the SEED study.
