SPHERE History

SPHERE was founded in fall 2008 by a group of students at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Now an official student group at JHSPH, SPHERE is dedicated to ensuring that students and faculty remain informed about important healthcare reform issues and are able to dialogue on the JHMI campus and advocate for meaningful health at the state and national levels. In its inaugural year, SPHERE held a highly successful Educational Speaker series, followed by an Advocacy Training and Lobbying Day on Capitol Hill in the spring.
