Asian Americans in Public Health (AAPH) provides a forum to discuss and promote awareness of public health issues concerning Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in the U.S. Because this emerging population faces distinct and significant public health challenges, AAPH was created to ensure that these matters are explored at scholarly and culturally competent levels. Through activities such as meeting with Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders and advocates, participating in national health conferences, and mentoring and netowrking with JHSPH-AAPH alumni, group participants are afforded firsthand opportunities to engage in the issues affecting these communities. AAPH also actively partners with national Asian and Pacific Islander American organizations to advance improvements in population-based health. |
