Important!!

Our prescription plan changed on July 1 from a 20% co-pay to a three tier formulary system, where a 30-day drug supply will cost $10, $20, or $35 depending on its tier.  More information on the plan, as well as a link to the FDA website listing the drugs in each tier, can be found at the University Health Services  website.  The new plan includes a mail-order service, and users of this service will save one month's co-pay for each three month supply.

Also, on July 1 mental health services changed to unlimited free visits for students seeking care through Student Mental Health.  Please check the UHS Student Mental Health Information Page for more details.  The mental health plan for students seeking care outside of Student Mental Health has not changed.

Do you fully understand your student health benefits?

No? Well then read on...

The Student Health Representatives (SHR) are your fellow JHSPH students who work with university and health plan administrators to advocate on your behalf regarding the student health plan. Our primary goals are to

  • Serve as the student voice to plan administrators and university officials
  • Advocate for improvements to the health plan
  • Answer students' questions about benefits
  • Improve the quality of information students receive
  • Present concise, consistent, and clear health plan information

Please feel free to explore our website for more information about your student health coverage.

We meet regularly with representatives from across the university to voice students' concerns. If you have any concerns or suggestions you would like us to raise or would like to get involved, please email us at shprep@jhsph.edu.
