Portraits of Excellence
The Portraits of Excellence program is an opportunity for current students at the Bloomberg School to participate in a broad awareness campaign that recognizes the excellence and accomplishments of its students, faculty and alumni.
The Executive Board is seeking individuals wishing to learn more about the Johns Hopkins public health legacy and contribute to this initiative by preparing a career portrait about one of its most distinguished members. Each accepted entry will be awarded a prize of $50. The entry will be published on the Bloomberg School's website and posted prominently in the School.
Entries entail researching and preparing a 250-word “portrait” describing a major public health contribution of a member of Delta Omega, Alpha Chapter at the Bloomberg School. Among the 1,800 inducted since 1924 are heads of health agencies/ministries and research centers in the United States and abroad, as well as nationally and internationally recognized public health practitioners and policymakers.
