Alumni panelists will offer guidance on uncovering various types of opportunities, finding a mentor, positioning and promoting yourself, and selling yourself in certain venues. After the presentation, panel members will be available for further discussion during the networking reception.
Michael Federico, A&S ‘80
Michael Federico is a financial advisor for Brown Advisory in Baltimore. He has served in this capacity for more than a decade and has worked in the industry for more than 25 years. He is a former member of the JHU winning lacrosse team, a former member of the advisory council, and currently serves on his 30th class Reunion committee for the class of 1980.
Marian Grant, SON ‘00, MSN ‘05
Marian Grant had a 20+ yr career in marketing/advertising at Procter & Gamble where she was a VP for Cover Girl before she left at age 42 to go to Hopkins for nursing school. With a bachelor’s and master’s under her belt, Ms. Grant will receive a Doctorate in Nursing Practice this spring from UMD School of Nursing and plans to be full-time faculty after that with her area of scholarship being end-of-life communication.
Dan Stilwell, A&S ‘05
Since graduating with a BA in Psychology, Dan Stilwell has worked in sales at the Corporate Executive Board cold-calling Fortune 500 executives, as a venture capitalist at Paperboy Ventures investing in medical device, software, and clean-tech start-ups, and in Project Development and Strategic Planning at SunEdison—North America’s largest solar service provider.
