Hopkins KnowledgeNet offers alumni access to thousands of academic journals, articles, ebooks and reference materials via licensed databases, as well as links to additional collections of online resources, digital libraries, and other Johns Hopkins publications.
Does Hopkins KnowledgeNet give me access to all the electronic resources I had when I was a student?
Hopkins KnowledgeNet provides a collection of databases that we have licensed specifically for alumni use. Hopkins KnowledgeNet is completely separate from the Johns Hopkins libraries and all of their holdings. Johns Hopkins library database licenses have restrictions that only allow current students, faculty, and staff to access them, so your remote access to these databases ends once you graduate. If you are in the Baltimore/DC area, you are welcome to come into the libraries and use the electronic resources from library computers.
Do you have PubMed?
PubMed is a publicly-available database, but it includes only full-text articles from open access or freely-available journals. We have a database called Proquest Medical Library that has full-text articles from about 450 medical journals routinely cited in Medline. You can run your searches in PubMed and then look up the citations in Proquest Medical Library using the “Find a Journal” search. or, you can simply run your subject/author searches in Proquest Medical Library and view full-text articles from your results list. If you do want to use PubMed, we have a link to it in the Medicine Resources, under Databases, and also Libraries & Museums (PubMed is produced by the National Library of Medicine).
Which journals does KnowledgeNet have?
