Overview
Karen Bandeen-Roche, PhD, Interim Director, Center on Aging and Health

The Center on Aging and Health-West is dedicated to population-based research to further identify the causes and consequences of diseases, frailty and disability in older adults.

COAH-West faculty lead the Women's Health and Aging Studies, the Baltimore Experience Corps Study, the Cognitive Pathways to Disability study and the Older Americans Independence Center, all of which are based in Baltimore.

The researchers are also key investigators in large population studies at the Johns Hopkins Research Center in Hagerstown: the Cardiovascular Health Study and the Ginkgo Evaluation of Memory Study are based at the center.
