Overview
Bruce Leff, MD., Director, Center on Aging and Health - East

The Center on Aging and Health-East is dedicated to patient-oriented and health services research that will further define and improve the health and well-being of older adults and the development of the next generation of systems of health care delivery.

It seeks to foster interdisciplinary research essential for an aging population, to train research and policy leaders and to translate this work into practice to improve the health of older adults and the health care delivery system in which they receive care.

Program Goals
Major goals for the program in Geriatric Health Services Research are:

  • To become a leading center in the development, evaluation and dissemination of geriatric health service delivery models across the continuum of care.
  • To become a leading center on issues related to multimorbidity, including treatment burden, health service utilization patterns and models of care for the multimorbid.
