The Biostatistics Core of the OAIC provides the statistical support needed to address the issues of etiology, natural history and outcomes of frailty. The Core fuels the OAIC's effort to create the next generations of research on frailty. Specifically, it provides: - Statistical support for development of research on frailty in selected funded research projects and OAIC pilot studies and for investigators sponsored by the Research Career Development Core (RCDC).
- Key data infrastructure and access to emerging computing technologies that are essential to discovery in the area of frailty and are not now available to Johns Hopkins investigators in aging.
- New methodologies for data analysis that are essential to studying the complex syndrome of frailty.
- Mentoring to junior faculty supported by the RCDC.
- Leadership in the Leadership and Administrative Core (LAC) and collaboration with all the OAIC cores.
The Biostatistics Core is overseen by the LAC, operates in collaboration with the Genetics Core, and is a resource for the RCDC, Pilot studies, and supported research investigations. Members of the Biostatistics Core |
