Dr. Tanner's current research involves the developing and evaluating strategies to recruit and retain older adults to participate in a community-based trial, Experience Corps®, an intergenerational program to promote health, as well as the psychosocial impact of EC and the pathway to health outcomes. She is a co-investigator and the director of recruitment and retention for the RCT, Experience Corps® and a co-PI of the GeriFIT project (Geriatric Interdisciplinary Team Training), a study comparing health outcomes of an interdisciplinary team approach to care with the usual care approach.
