Prevention

The Center on Aging and Health is dedicated to research that will prevent disease and disability and improve the health and well-being of older adults. It seeks to foster interdisciplinary research and to train the next generations of research leaders essential to important discoveries for prevention and health promotion and effective clinical care for an aging population, and to translate these results so that they improve the health status of older adults.  Core Research in COAH East focuses on improving both the contents and systems of clinical care for our older population.   COAH East is currently home to 11 faculty members:  one Associate Professor, eight Assistant Professors, and two Instructors.  COAH East is located on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical campus in the Mason F. Lord Building, Suite 7000.
