The Center has worked in partnership with community agencies in Baltimore to understand and reduce adolescent risk behaviors such as tobacco and alcohol use, violence and early sexual activity. With funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Center is focusing on incorporating mental health promotion into existing employment and youth training programs. The Center has two permanent community advisory groups: the Community Advisory Board (CAB)--whose members represent several local community organizations--and the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).
