 SESSIONS DEFINED

"What is Public Health?"

Presented by Admissions Services, this session will introduce prospective students to the multi-disciplinary field of public health and identify components that make this field unique.  In addition, we'll discuss the core areas of study, JHSPH academic departments/degrees, helpful hints for the JHSPH admissions process, career options in public health, additional public health resources and how the Bloomberg School can help you reach your academic goals!

"JHSPH Current Student Panel"
Facilitated by Admissions Services, this session will provide prospective students the opportunity to ask current JHSPH students questions about their experiences here at the Bloomberg School (i.e. why they chose their degree program and/or JHSPH, what they like about Baltimore, where they hope to go after graduation). This is your chance to connect with current students! Remember, they were in your shoes not too long ago.

"Living in Baltimore"
Presented by the Director of SOURCE (Student Outreach Resource Center), this session will introduce prospective students to Baltimore City -- from the rich cultural history to modern day offerings, prospective students will learn how the city can truly enrich student life here at Hopkins.  This session will also highlight the various neighborhoods where many students choose to live while enrolled at the School.

"Careers in Public Health"
Presented by the Director of Career Services and the Associate Director of Alumni Affairs, this session is intended to provide prospective students with an idea of life after graduate school, specifically information on career options in the field of public health as well as the support network and breadth of opportunities available to our JHSPH alumni.
