Official academic records, transcripts or mark sheets—which include grades/marks for all courses and degrees earned, if applicable— from all colleges, universities, graduate or professional schools attended are required. Please request your previous institutions to send your transcripts directly to Admissions Services at the address below. If you have the transcripts sent to you DO NOT OPEN THEM. They will need to be mailed to our office and must arrive in a sealed envelope, signed across the seal by the proper authority. Additionally, if the last name on the transcript differs from the last name on your application, please be sure to notify our office immediately. Admission Services mailing address: Admission Services Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health 615 N. Wolfe Street, E1002 Baltimore, MD 21205-2179 Please be advised that it may take up to two weeks from the date that your documents are received in our office for your online application to be updated. Policy for Accepting Academic Records from an International Credentialing Service We do not recognize evaluation reports from International Credentialing Services as a transcript replacement. In some cases, we may utilize a credentialing report to review an application or serve as a translation; however, they cannot replace official academic records. An original academic record from the institution must be submitted. Official (or attested) academic records showing courses taken, grades (or marks) received, and the award of a degree, if applicable, are a requirement for admission to a degree program or postdoctoral fellowship at the Bloomberg School. Photocopies and your personal copies are not considered official. Please do not submit your own personal documents, as they will not be returned to you. Recognizing that academic records and degree certificates from institutions outside the U.S. are sometimes difficult to obtain, we urge you to begin the process well in advance of our application deadline.
Official documents should be sent directly to us from the institution, or sent to you and forwarded to us without being opened. In addition, any document not issued in English must be translated into English by an authorized translator (not yourself) and notarized as being true translations of the original document, which must accompany it. These documents should be sent directly to us by the translator. Download a International Academic Record Request form. Please photocopy as necessary for additional schools. |
