Official academic records, transcripts or mark sheets—which include grades/marks for all courses and degrees earned, if applicable— from all colleges, universities, graduate or professional schools attended are required. Please request your previous institutions to send your transcripts directly to Admissions Services at the address below. If you have the transcripts sent to you DO NOT OPEN THEM. They will need to be mailed to our office and must arrive in a sealed envelope, signed across the seal by the proper authority. Additionally, if the last name on the transcript differs from the last name on your application, please be sure to notify our office immediately. If you are an international student or a U.S. student who has studied internationally, please pay particular attention to instructions below pertaining to academic records.

Policy for Accepting Academic Records from an International Credentialing Service
Official (or attested) academic records showing courses taken, grades (or marks) received, and the award of a degree, if applicable, are a requirement for admission to a degree program or postdoctoral fellowship at the Bloomberg School. Photocopies and your personal copies are not considered official. Please do not submit your own personal documents, as they will not be returned to you. Recognizing that academic records and degree certificates from institutions outside the U.S. are sometimes difficult to obtain, we urge you to begin the process well in advance of our application deadline.
Beginning this year, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will require applicants submitting academic records from institutions outside the U.S. to have their documents evaluated by an external credentialing agency. We will no longer be credentialing transcripts in the admissions office. Applicants with international academic records should choose an evaluation agency that will include a copy of the transcript or marks sheet in the evaluation sent to us. If the copy of the transcript or marks sheet is not included in the evaluation sent to us, it will not be considered sufficient for review. Applicants may use any of the U.S. services, but they need to make sure a copy of their transcripts will be included. Please be sure to order a course by course evaluation. Applicants should make these requirements known at the onset of their evaluation request. Please list the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a recipient for your credentialing evaluations. Please be advised that sending an additional personal copy of your transcript or marks sheets directly to us to supplement the evaluation will not be sufficient for review. We need to see the documents used by the agency to complete your credentials evaluation. If you are admitted to the Bloomberg School, an official copy of your transcript will be required for your Records and Registration file. We recommend you request two sets of your official academic records, when you make your initial request from your academic institution. Keep one in a sealed envelope and send one to the credentialing agency of your choosing. While we do not endorse one particular evaluation agency, we have confirmed that the following three agencies will meet our evaluation requirements and submit copies of transcripts/mark sheets with the evaluation.
