JHSPH table at a Grad FairWe log some serious miles in the fall, traveling to graduate fairs and information sessions all over the U.S. (the powers that be have yet to approve a Caribbean or Mediterranean recruitment tour).

Our spring travel schedule is calmer, but there are still a number of events on our calendar.

Admitted Students should log into the Admitted Student Website for information and registration for one of two Visitors Days here in Baltimore
(if you need a login, please email us at

Prospective Students should regularly check our recruitment calendar as we add more opportunities to chat with us in person. If you’re new to graduate fairs, Idealist has great videos explaining the benefits of attending and providing grad fair tips. The videos are specific to Idealist, but the recommendations can be applied to any fair.

Hope to see you soon!

As our fall recruitment season comes to an end, thanks to all who helped or visited the over 50 graduate fairs and information sessions we attended.

A special thank you to those who visited our booth at the APHA Public Health Expo last week.

It was a pleasure meeting you!

Visiting the JHSPH boot at APHATwo weeks from today is very special. Can you guess why?

It’s not my birthday.

It’s not Johns Hopkins’ birthday.

It’s not even Buy-Your-Favorite-Blogger-A-Cup-Of-Coffee day.

It’s the free Student Visit Day at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting!

Come to Boston and see over 700 exhibits presenting public health information, products and services. Many of the CEPH accredited schools of public health will be there – including the Bloomberg School. It’s one-stop shopping for prospective students!

Details are as follows:

November 6, 2013
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Boston Convention and Exhibition Center
Admission is free, but registration is required!

The Annual Meeting runs from November 2-6 and students are welcome to attend. You may learn more about information sessions and student-level registration fees at

Meeting attendees will find Bloomberg School representatives in the exhibit hall at the JHSPH booth, numbers 1304 & 1306.

Talking with prospective studentsAre you a prospective student dreaming of an opportunity to learn more about the Bloomberg School?

I’m here to make that dream come true!

If you’re able to travel to Baltimore, stop by! Sign up for a campus tour and/or register for our Open House.

If traveling isn’t an option, attend a Virtual Information Session and learn more about our programs and application process.

You can also check out our recruitment calendar. In the next month our representatives will be in New York, Philadelphia, Charlottesville, Boston, Washington, Ithaca, San Antonio, among others! Come chat with us in your own neighborhood!

handshakeDo you like one-stop shopping? Are you thinking about a graduate program in public health?

If so, I have a series of events for you!

The first event is next week!

Come and chat with representatives from Columbia Mailman, Harvard, Yale and (of course) Johns Hopkins Bloomberg schools of public health.
