As I wrote about last week, Friday was our Public Health Career Fair. It was a huge success with companies filling the school and a steady stream of students coming to the fair throughout the five hours.
Jae Jin Suh, who is working on her MPH with a concentration in International Health, told me she was impressed by her fellow students as she listened while waiting in line to talk to the different companies. But most of all she was so grateful to “see all the companies at the same time and ask right then all my questions.” Students agreed, the consensus was they didn’t have to spend nearly as much time seeking out the companies, because the employers were all there, wanting to talk to them and hire a Bloomberg student.
“As an international student, the markings for citizenship requirements helped so much. I didn’t have to waste time talking to a company that I couldn’t work for,” added Carly Babcok an MSPH student in the Health Behavior and Society department.
In it’s 32nd year, we all felt the annual career fair was yet another success.
