The training program provides funding for African institutions to develop their capacity in bioethics and research ethics through one-year institutional partnerships, workshops, and individual trainee short- and long-term training at Johns Hopkins. Trainees also design and complete funded independent projects in their home countries related to research ethics.
All trainees will take courses in bioethics, research ethics and international research ethics. There will be opportunities for them to take other courses that might be of interest, such as health services research methods, epidemiology or international health systems.
