Courses and Registration

Finding Course Information

To find out the registration period, dates of instruction, and add/drop period for a term, please refer to the Academic Calendar. The most reliable source of course information is the Online Catalog. The online catalog supersedes what is published on other websites (such as the MPH, Distance Education or Institute websites) or on static schedules (such as the printed brochures that are available at the Student Affairs office).

To see a listing of courses for a term, students can search the course database by term. It’s possible to search for specific courses by using a course number or title, and to search for courses by location (such as ”Internet”).

Within a list of search results in the course database, click on the course number in order to get a course description. Please review the notes at the bottom of the course description to see if any prerequisites or special approvals are needed. Completion of the ‘Introduction to Online Learning’ module is a prerequisite for taking any Internet course.

The resources below may contain additional course information.

•    CoursePlus (on-campus courses only)
•    Distance Education (Internet courses only)
•    OpenCourseWare
•    Course Evaluations (use your @jhsph.edu email password to access this site)

For each term, the Office of Records and Registration produces a listing of room locations for courses and a booklet with the course schedule. These are available at room E1002 or on the Records & Registration website.
