Luca Passerini

I am an Italian Medical Doctor with a passion for global health and social entrepreneurship, focusing on poverty-related diseases, child health and humanitarian action. Before coming to JHSPH, I studied in London, Milan and Paris, and worked with International Organizations in Vietnam, East-Africa and Peru.

I chose JHSPH MPH because I was looking for the best and the brightest, in the past, the present and the future.  The top school of public health in the world is the place where I wanted to be for my training. I am receiving an unparalleled education, tremendous networking and several financial aid opportunities. Hopkins provides a unique chance for a superb education in which to build a strong qualitative and quantitative background in public health, as well as the skills necessary for the development, implementation and evaluation of effective interventions, policies and their impact.

I have been exposed to exceptional faculty and staff, an inspiring atmosphere and extraordinary classmates. I feel tremendously lucky to have the opportunity to study at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and to share this experience with such brilliant people, who will shape the future of public health. I expected the best, and my expectations have been exceeded!
