Gregory Tung, MPH 2007

The online MPH is a versatile degree that has been key in my professional development.  I entered the program while working full-time as a hospital administrator.  At the time I was interested in making a career change and working in health policy.  The online program exposed me to many aspects of public health and gave me an opportunity to further explore and develop my interests.  The program also connected me with the school and an amazing group of fellow distance students. 

The degree opened numerous opportunities for me and before I graduated I was able to move to a health policy research position to pursue my developing interest in public policy.  My MPH advisor was supportive of a joint project with the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education at UCSF as my capstone.  My capstone led to a two-year research position during which I was able to further expand my interests and experience in public health policy research.  Now I am back at Hopkins as a PhD student pursuing an academic career researching public policies that enhance population wellbeing and public health. 

Gregory Tung, MPH is currently a PhD student in the Health Policy and Management Department of Johns Hopkins University.
