Master of Science (ScM)

Students in the Master of Science (ScM) degree program at the Bloomberg School are generally interested in hands-on experiences leading to prominent careers in public health research.

At a minimum, the ScM degree program requires four terms of full-time coursework and preparation and approval of a written thesis based on original research, and worthy of publication. 

Since individual departments at the Bloomberg School offer the ScM program, be sure to contact your department of interest or the contact the Admissions Office for more information.

Note: Applicants to the programs in the Departments of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Environmental Health Sciences, and the Graduate Training Programs in Clinical Investigation may not matriculate directly into the ScM degree.
