The Interdepartmental Health Economics Program brings together faculty from around the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Departments represented include Health Policy and Management, International Health, Mental Health, and Population, Family, and Reproductive Health . Students also take courses in the Department of Economics at Homewood and can access courses at the School for Advanced International Studies. The Department of Health, Behavior, and Society also has interests in the area. Students can concentrate on applying health economics to any of the areas represented by these Departments. We offer a PhD program that spans the departments and are planning an MHS program. The faculty are affiliated with many centers . The research interests of the faculty include those of the affiliated centers and patient preferences, risk behaviors, cost-effectiveness analysis, mental health economics, health policy, and health systems financing. Our group includes 12 core faculty, several other interested faculty, six centers with which the core faculty conduct collaborative research, and five affiliated departments. | CORE FACULTY | | | | | | | Pierre Alexandre, PhD, MPH Associate Professor | Mental Health | | Natalia Alfonso, MS Research Associate | Population, Family and Reproductive Health | | David Bishai, MD, MPH, PhD Professor and Director Interdepartmental Health Economics Program | Population, Family and Reproductive Health | | John F.
