The Summer Institutes at the School provide short-term, intensive educational opportunities for public health practitioners and other professionals who are unable to devote full-time status to their studies during the regular academic year. The Summer Institutes also serve as a convenient method for health professionals to further their education in a variety of public health disciplines or to be introduced to a new field of study. Some of the courses offered by these institutes are equivalent to regular academic year courses and may be taken for academic credit. Information is also available on the School's Winter Institute and the Health Policy and Management's Fall Institute in Barcelona, Spain.
