The deadline to apply for the 2012 Winter Institute is Friday, December 9, 2011.
Continuing students and newly admitted Bloomberg School MPH students can register online at https://isis.jhu.edu/sswf.
Degree-seeking students registering after the deadline can use the late registration form.
Special-students-limited, new training certificate students and students from other Johns Hopkins University divisions (including the School of Medicine and postdoctoral fellows) can register online at https://isis.jhu.edu/PNOnlineApp/start.aspx.
Note that interdivisional registrations are not permitted for the Winter Institute.
After registering, School of Medicine students and postdoctoral fellows should go to the School of Medicine’s Registrar's office (733 N. Broadway, Suite 147) to pick up a payment voucher. This voucher must be submitted directly to the Bloomberg School’s Business Office (615 N. Wolfe St., Suite W1101).
Registration requests will not be processed until tuition payment for all courses is received.
Students wishing to drop Winter Institute courses can use the drop form. Courses can be dropped through the first day of the course.
Winter Institute 2012 participants may register for academic credit or audit. A non-credit option is not available for the Winter Institute.
Please refer to the course descriptions for the credit value of each course. Courses taken for audit may not be retroactively converted to academic credit after the conclusion of the Institute.
Students registered as special-students-limited may accumulate a maximum of 16 credits. After 16 credits have been earned, application to and acceptance in special student regular or degree status is required.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the 2012 Winter Institute is $892 per credit for academic credit or audit.
As mentioned, the deadline for application is Friday, December 9, 2011. All applicants who register after this date will be charged a $100 late registration fee.
Degree-seeking students who miss the deadline cannot use ISIS to register but must use a hard copy registration form. See the downloadable form for late registration above. Students may drop or add a course during the first day. After the first day, there will be no refund of tuition, nor will it be possible to add a course more than one day after the start date.
Special students must pay in full at the time of registration. Statements for Winter Institute tuition for newly admitted MPH and continuing students will be posted electronically at https://isis.jhu.edu on January 19, 2012.
Payment for Winter Institute courses is due on January 27, 2012. Financial assistance is not available for the 2012 Winter Institute.
The Winter Institute reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, in which event the full enrollment fee for the course will be refunded.
