In the event that severe weather or another emergency exists on the first day of winter institute classes (January 7 or January 14, 2008), please call 410-614-5985 for information on the closing policy. For information on the closing policy for the Washington, D.C., courses, please call 410-614-1580.  Do not rely on local radio or television announcements or other sources about Johns Hopkins University closing policy since the winter institute may differ.
