The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health provides two years of support (full tuition, stipend, and health insurance) to two students from each department annually. The aim of this fellowship is to focus on issues of health disparities. Under-represented minority students and non-minority students with a demonstrated commitment to issues related to health disparities are eligible. Students may not apply for this fellowship. Candidates nominated by a department must: - Be accepted by department submitting nomination during current application period;
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident;
- Be African American, Hispanic American, Native American or Pacific Islander, or a non-minority student with a demonstrated commitment to issues of health disparities;
- Not have a prior doctoral degree;
- The Statement of Intent on the application for admission should indicate that the applicant intends to use knowledge gained at the School in issues related to health disparities.
Departments are strongly encouraged to nominate minority students for this fellowship. |
