Compensation and Benefits

Tuition

A tuition scholarship for the Master of Public Health program will be provided to first year residents.  Tuition for the 2006-07 academic year is $41,220.  The program also covers the School's matriculation fee of $500.

Stipend

The base stipend for residency-funded trainees is $40,000.  Residents who are awarded a scholarship from the Occupational Physicians Scholarship Fund will receive a stipend commensurate with their NIH postgraduate year.  Military-sponsored trainees are paid their usual military salaries. The chief resident receives a salary supplement of $1,500/year.

Health and dental coverage for family members is available at an additional cost; residents pay the difference between individual and family premiums.
